1. 01. Do you know how you contribute to the Widow and Orphan Pension scheme ?

     You should present the following documents with completed General 86 format.

• Original copy of the birth certificate.
• Original copy of the birth certificate of the spouse. (If married)
• Original copies of the marriage certificate and children’s birth certificates.

2.  Who are qualified for the Pension ?

      The persons who have continuous service period of 120 months; are qualified for the Pension.

3.  Who are the beneficiaries of the Widow and Orphan Pension scheme ?

• Widow / widower of the pensioner
• Unmarried and unemployed female children who are less than age of 26 years.
• Unemployed male children who are less than age of 26 years.

  are to be given W. and O.P.

4.  Who are qualified for the Death Gratuity.

      After the death of a permanent pensionable officer who has continuous service period of  sixty months ; a one of his/her dependant is qualified to get the Death Gratuity.

5.  What is a Commuted Gratuity ?

         It equals to a twenty four times of unreduced monthly pension salary.

6.  What is an Unreduced Pension Salary ?

         The Pension gratuity was taken by the pensioner; is reduced in equal instalments within 10 years. The unreduced pension salary is paid to the pensioner after above ten years period.

7.  What is the Pension Grant Sheet ?

       This is a special letter that is given to any pensioner while he or she gets retirement   

• Application for pension life Certificate

• Application for free railway holiday warrants
